Consortia Projects Programme
Through Capacitybuilders' Consortia Projects Programme, WYLDA has co-ordinated a number of activities, in each of the West Yorkshire Districts and across West Yorkshire.
In 2007/08 the following cross-district activities were undertaken:
Rural Services
Development of a strategy for the delivery of infrastructure services across West Yorkshire and strengthening the case for future funding at district/sub-regional level.
Including recommendations to ensure that, ultimately, rural communities in each district are able to access a consistent range of services from Support Organisations in the West Yorkshire or elsewhere.
Project Lead: Keighley Voluntary Services, Caroline Schwaller
Third Sector Engagement in LAAs
An event in early 2008 to bring together experiences of working with LAAs across West Yorkshire. A chance to hear from others and share good practice.
Project Lead: Voluntary Action Wakefield District, Alison Crouch
Cross District Training Co-ordination
Development of collaborative working by West Yorkshire training providers with the aim of improving the delivery of training to the sector, increasing choice and access. The project recognises that while similar training programmes are delivered by the five district CVS's there is no joint curriculum development and little joint marketing.
Project Lead: Voluntary Action Kirklees, Val Johnson
West Yorkshire BME Networks' Networking Event
A networking event to bring together people from all the various BME networks across West Yorkshire. The event will be focussed on celebrating the contribution made by West Yorkshire BME organisations and networks.
Project Lead: WY BME Networks' Group
West Yorkshire Refugee Organisations Event
Project Lead: Through Bradford Refugee Project, contact via ABCD Clement Katulushi
