Background to the Strategic Engagement Project

In 2007/08 WYLDA ran a project to work on its strategic engagement with external stakeholders.

Aim:

To raise the profile of third sector infrastructure with the public sector in West Yorkshire and to co-ordinate and engage on behalf of WYLDA with a defined range of strategic public sector partners.

Objectives:

  • To work closely with members of the WYLDA executive to identify and engage with key strategic partners for the development of Third Sector infrastructure in West Yorkshire
  • To feed into the development of the WYLDA Strategic Plan to 2014 and the WYLDA Business Plan to 2011
  • To consult and have dialogue with the public sector on elements of the WYDLA Strategic Plan and Business Plan
  • To plan and stage an all partners event to engage on the role for Third Sector infrastructure in West Yorkshire

Delivery:

Through an open bidding process, WYLDA appointed a range of its members, and some external consultants to work on a number of key areas:

  • Social Enterprise
  • Health
  • Skills and Employment
  • Economy
  • Funding
  • District authorities

Event:

The work of the Strategic Engagement Project culminated in an all-partners event which brought together WYLDA members and its key external stakeholders to look at how dynamic partnerships can be formed for future working. To find out more about this event, view the WYLDA events page, or click below:
